Nixon and Watergate are now part of our history. While some of AITF is specifically 70's, we still have bigotry, homophobia, inequality by gender, race, religion and sexual orientation, despite the recent election of Barack Obama. We also have grown children moving back with their parents, not because they are attending school, but because of a bad economy. We still have a mobile society and children taking jobs (when they can find them) far away from their families. So while some aspects of our lives have changed since the 70's, others have not.It will be a great day when all of AITF is simply part of our history.

Nixon and Watergate are HISTORY and their relevance is to see that kind of chicanery is never repeated. But as part of AITF, it dates it as a 70's show. What is relevant today is that we still have bigotry, fear of homosexuality, rape, unease with the mentally challenged (NIMBY), etc. It also examines relationships within families, for better or worse. Perhaps our society will never be perfect. AITF still reminds us of our fears and foibles.

I certainly think it was Meathead's fault. The older I get, the more I think Archie was the smart one on that show.

Let's see...

ALL IN THE FAMILY: Gloria in a micro-nightie on the stairs, perhaps with no underwear

CAPTAIN VIDEO: No such thing

You decide.
